“A design process where functionality leads, and thoughtful design follows effortlessly.”

We create spaces that are calm, personal, & well-balanced. Our work cares about the small things that stay with a family: spaces shaped around real lives, the ease of daily routines, the memory of shared moments, and the emotional comfort of belonging.

The Living Space

Textures and layering are what truly bring a space to life. The sofa is upholstered in a rich bouclé, while the walls feature a Japanese-inspired textured finish with delicate flecks of gold that lend the living room a quiet, natural glamour.

The wool and silk rug introduces a subtle sheen and varying pile heights, creating a tactile experience that feels luxurious underfoot. A soft natural linen sheer gently separates the two spaces, adding depth, softness, and understated charm.

The family at the Serendipity Home envisioned a living space that felt open yet intimate - a warm, inviting setting designed for conversation and connection.

We completely reimagined the living room by removing the balcony door and introducing a soft arched opening that leads into a lush green bay window nook. The chosen shade, Fernwood, is a medium-deep muted green that brings depth and character to the space without overpowering it.

Every detail was thoughtfully layered, including the rug and cushions, which were entirely custom-designed and handcrafted to achieve the precise balance of texture, tone, and warmth envisioned for the home.

The Window Extension

The Entry Foyer

The double-height ceiling offered the opportunity to introduce an additional upper-level floor while creating a striking waffle ceiling detail in the foyer, adding depth, rhythm, and architectural character to the space.

The curio cabinet was designed as both a functional and aesthetic anchor for the home. It thoughtfully houses books, crockery, and decorative objects for the dining area. At the same time, concealed drawers store everyday essentials like keys, umbrellas, and other grab-and-go items — bringing effortless organization to daily life.

The custom hand-carved solid wood mirror introduces warmth and natural texture, beautifully complementing the soft, earthy finish of the limestone wall.

A thoughtfully integrated dog basket adds a personal and functional touch to the space — designed to blend seamlessly into the aesthetic while creating a cozy corner for the family’s furry companion.

The ceiling wallpaper from Casadeco features a playful geometric abstraction with subtle metallic accents, adding depth and quiet drama to the space.

A Powder Room

We reconfigured the layout by opening the wall from the bay window into the bathroom and closing off the original utility-side entrance. This transformed an under-utilized maid’s bathroom into a thoughtfully designed powder room better suited to the homeowners’ lifestyle.

The terrace outdoor seating that everyone wants!

The outdoor furniture was carefully curated from IKEA’s outdoor collection, chosen for its practicality and ease of use. The foldable tables and seating can be effortlessly set up for gatherings and neatly tucked away on regular days, making the space flexible, functional, and easy to maintain.

We designed the outdoor space to comfortably host up to 16 guests, making it perfect for intimate dinner gatherings and celebrations. Thoughtful tablescapes, layered with flowers and styling details, bring warmth and personality to every setting — the little touches that make a home feel truly special.

All the fabrics are from the D'Decor Fabricare range, chosen for their beauty as well as ease of maintenance. As evening falls, the lighting adds a soft glow that transforms the space into an inviting setting for long, memorable dinners with family and friends.

The Multipurpose Room: Studio + Guest + Play + Extended hangout

This room is designed to transform effortlessly with the needs of the moment. Within minutes, it can shift from a relaxed lounge into a fully functional guest bedroom with the pull-down bed seamlessly integrated into the space.

For work and creative sessions, a concealed 4 x 7 ft design table unfolds to create a generous studio workspace, paired with a 7 x 3 ft pin-up board designed for mood boarding, material layouts, and creative ideation. Together, the room functions as a complete design studio while remaining flexible and uncluttered.

When entertaining or hosting larger gatherings, everything folds neatly away — the bed closes, the table disappears, and the room opens back up into a spacious extension of the home, ready for conversation, extra seating, and easy hosting.

The space brings together thoughtfully sourced and custom-crafted elements to create a warm, functional studio environment. The Murphy bed is by Halfly, while the styling props have been curated from H&M Home. The frames are from IKEA, and the upholstery and curtains feature fabrics from Asian Paints. The rug by Opulent Rugs adds warmth and texture underfoot, complemented by blinds from Nesterra. Completing the space are custom-made chairs handcrafted in Mumbai, adding a personal and bespoke touch to the design.

The Guest Bedroom: A study in color

Sometimes, the most interesting spaces begin with a single detail. For this room, it was the curtain. I instantly fell in love with its pattern and knew it had to become the starting point for the entire design story.

From there, every element naturally evolved around it — the wall paneling, the custom lamp design, the bed, upholstery, furniture, and styling details were all thoughtfully layered to complement the curtain’s character and palette. Even the adjoining bathroom was designed in continuity with the room, with tiles and finishes carefully selected to echo the same pop of color and cohesive visual language throughout the space.

The bathroom that feels like a spa

Designed as a quiet escape within the home, this bathroom was envisioned to evoke the calm and comfort of a spa retreat. The tiles play a defining role in setting the mood — featuring soothing tones and soft organic patterns that instantly create a sense of relaxation and stillness.

THE MASTER BED

A thoughtful expression of functional luxury

A long chest of drawers dedicated to children’s clothing. Since children’s garments are smaller and constantly in rotation, we wanted them to have an organized space of their own, separate from the master wardrobes. It not only keeps the room streamlined but also encourages independence as the children grow older and begin managing their own belongings.

The master bedroom is one of the spaces closest to our heart — thoughtfully designed to feel warm, elevated, and deeply functional for everyday living. The wallpaper adds softness and sophistication to the room, while the bedside lamps create the perfect setting for quiet nighttime reading. A marble-inspired rug from Opulent Rugs anchors the space beautifully, tying the entire palette together with subtle elegance.

Because this is the most lived-in room of the home, functionality became the foundation of every design decision. To support the family’s lifestyle, we introduced four key elements that make the space effortlessly practical without compromising on aesthetics.

The master bedroom pantry is designed for convenience and comfort. It includes storage for plates, cutlery, snacks, reading books, and a kettle for quick tea or coffee breaks. A mini refrigerator tucked into the lower section makes it easy to store milk, baby essentials, or leftovers, allowing the family to enjoy small everyday moments without constantly moving between floors.

A compact study nook was added for late-night emails, quick work sessions, or quiet moments of focus — eliminating the need to head downstairs to the studio and making everyday routines more seamless.

The room is completed with a semi walk-in wardrobe setup featuring two spacious wardrobes with layered storage solutions, multiple drawers, and varied hanging heights tailored to different clothing needs — creating a space that feels as intuitive as it is beautiful.

The Mandir

The mandir is undoubtedly one of the most peaceful and soulful spaces in the home — a room that instantly brings a sense of calm and stillness the moment you step inside. Interestingly, this space did not originally exist in the home. It was thoughtfully created when we chose to close off the double-height ceiling and introduce a new upper-level floor, giving rise to this dedicated pooja room.

The mandir itself is crafted from pure Makrana marble sourced from Rajasthan and entirely hand-carved by skilled artisans before being transported to Bangalore for installation. The making process took nearly two months, followed by several days of meticulous on-site assembly. Every intricate carving reflects the craftsmanship and care behind its creation, making it not just a functional space of worship, but a timeless centerpiece that brings depth, emotion, and meaning to the entire home.

The Family Lounge: Designed for Togetherness

This is also the only room in the home where a television was intentionally introduced. We wanted the bedrooms to remain restful sanctuaries dedicated to relaxation and sleep, making the lounge the central place for shared movie nights and entertainment. To make the compact space even more versatile, we incorporated a sofa-cum-bed, allowing the room to easily adapt for lounging, hosting, or accommodating overnight guests when needed.

Tucked between the guest bedroom and the master bedroom, this compact family lounge was envisioned from the very beginning as a shared space for gathering, unwinding, and spending time together. Despite its modest footprint, every element was thoughtfully designed to make the space feel warm, personal, and inviting.

One of the most special features of the lounge is the photo gallery that lines the staircase wall — a collection of memories that naturally becomes part of everyday life. Whether sitting here for a quiet moment or gathering as a family, the space encourages reflection, conversation, and connection.

The Terrace: A Pergola & Open Seating Retreat

The terrace was completely reimagined from the ground up, beginning with the most important aspect of the redesign — resolving the building’s water seepage issues. We removed the existing flooring entirely and introduced a robust waterproofing system across both the flooring and the built-in planters, ensuring the space would remain durable and functional for years to come. Functionality always forms the foundation of our design process, and this transformation was no exception.

Once the structural work was complete, the terrace was thoughtfully divided into two distinct zones. One side was designed as an open outdoor seating area, while the other features a covered pergola space that offers comfort through both sunny afternoons and rainy evenings.

Designed for celebrations, gatherings, and slow evenings outdoors, the terrace has become one of the most loved areas of the home. To enhance privacy, we introduced a custom jali screen behind the open seating area, subtly masking the surrounding construction and neighboring buildings while creating a more intimate and peaceful atmosphere for entertaining and family time.

Under the pergola, we created a relaxed lounge setting with a swing and upholstered seating, all finished in durable Sunbrella fabrics chosen for outdoor living. The open seating area features layered floor gaddas and cushions upholstered in the D'Decor Fabricare range, making maintenance effortless while keeping the space warm and inviting.

Materiality played an important role in defining the two zones. One side features wood-look flooring that brings warmth and softness, while the other is finished in a striking terrazzo that continues seamlessly into the skirting and portions of the boundary wall, creating a cohesive and elevated visual language throughout the terrace.

Positioned between the two seating areas are a gym and a newly constructed terrace bathroom, adding another layer of convenience and functionality to the space.

The Home Gym

Designed for the homeowner — an accomplished ultra-endurance athlete — the gym was envisioned as a dedicated space that supports both performance and discipline. Placing it on the terrace felt instinctive; the open air, natural light, and changing weather conditions all become part of the training experience, closely aligning with the demands of endurance sport.

The space is centered around functionality while still feeling personal. One wall proudly showcases the athlete’s accomplishments and milestones, turning the gym into a space of motivation and reflection. A custom pegboard system organizes the many everyday essentials a training setup requires, while a large mirror enhances both utility and openness within the compact footprint.

At the heart of the room is a flexible open zone designed primarily for cycling training and workout equipment, allowing the space to adapt to different training routines. A medium-sized storage was also thoughtfully integrated throughout the gym — an essential addition for endurance sports, where gear, accessories, nutrition, equipment, and training tools quickly add up.
