About
Hello, I’m Aakanksha Sirothia — a designer with a foundation in textiles and a growing practice in interiors, spaces, and material storytelling. My work is rooted in creating environments and pieces that feel layered, thoughtful, and personal.
With a Master’s degree in Textiles from the Rhode Island School of Design and over a decade of experience working with textile mills and global brands, I’ve developed a strong understanding of materials, craftsmanship, and the relationship between design and everyday living. Over the years, my practice has evolved beyond textiles into designing homes and spaces that balance beauty, warmth, and functionality. From fabrics and finishes to furniture, color, and detail, I’m drawn to creating spaces that tell stories and evoke emotion. My travels, cultural experiences, and love for art continue to shape my aesthetic and approach to design. I believe good design is not just about how something looks, but how it makes people feel. Whether I’m designing a home, developing a textile concept, or curating details within a space, my aim is always to create work that feels timeless, intentional, and deeply lived in.
